Chippewa Valley Brigade Director Jim Young and CVDBCA Inc. Board Secretary Mike Allen recently returned from the Drum Corps International annual meeting in Orlando, FL. The 3-day conference included sessions for corps directors, instructors and show promotors - as well as a medical summit, which focused on the health and well-being of corps members.
It was an extremely productive weekend, as both Jim and Mike brought back lots of notes and new ideas that will help to insure the success of both the Chippewa Valley Brigade and Drums On the Chippewa.
The Saturday Medical Summit was kicked off at 7 a.m., with a brisk walk around the conference center grounds, led by DCI Executive Director Dan Acheson. Careful observers of the slideshow posted on the DCI website (see link below) will note the stylish CV Brigade cap and t-shirt being worn by Mike in photo number 4.
